Gozo Sketches was written for the Auric Saxophone Quartet for their sixth performance at Victoria International Arts Festival, Gozo. The first movement, Sunrise on Gozo is inspired by the incredible sunrise seen by the quartet every year when leaving Gozo on an early ferry to fly home from Malta, whilst the second movement, Cisk! is inspired by the local beer...
